LTC (R) Hugo Jackson is a native of Money, Mississippi, he is the proud son of Mr. & Mrs. A.J. and Mary Ellen Jackson of Money, Mississippi. His primary education consisted of attending Wilkes Elementary School and later he graduated from Amanda Elzy High School. After high school LTC (R) Jackson attended Alcorn State University, were he enrolled in the Senior ROTC Program and majored in Political Science. Upon graduation from Alcorn State University, he was commissioned as a 2nd Lieutenant in the United State Army as an Infantry Officer.

Shortly after retiring from the Army, LTC (R) Jackson started his second career as a JROTC Instructor in Clarksdale, Mississippi and taught at 4 schools prior to Kenwood High. He has served as Senior Army Instructor for 14 years, during which time he became a mentor and father figure to many students and families in various communities. Now employed by the Clarksville-Montgomery County School System as Senior Army Instructor during his tenure, he continues to work with Raiders and JLAB teams. LTC Jackson's focus since arriving to the Knights Battalion is to secure scholarships for the upperclassmen for their post-secondary education.

LTC (R) Jackson is married to the former Beverly R. Noel from the U.S. Virgin Island. They have been married for 34 years and have been blessed with 5 adult children and 8 grandchildren. LTC Jackson and Mrs. Jackson continue to volunteer their time and efforts to the youth in the communities of Oxford, Sardis, Como, Crenshaw, Dekalb, Memphis and Clarksdale communities.

LTC (R) Jackson currently serves as the Kenwood High School JROTC Senior Army Instructor. The Vision of the JROTC Program will be to reach one child at a time through leadership, education and training. With the mission to empower, equip and enlighten our children by motivating them to become better citizens.
